The Family and Community Engagement Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and administering the Family and Community Partnership content area of the Head Start program in such a way as to ensure quality as defined by the Head Start Performance Standards. The Family and Community Engagement Manager serves as a resource and advocate for Head Start Families; acts as a liaison between the center and home, effectively explaining the program goals and operation. In addition, assists families in realizing their goals of self-sufficiency and their role in relation to their children’s development and learning through the comprehensive support provided through Head Start.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development, Social Services, Human Relations, Social Science, Psychology or related field AND
  • Two (2) years experience in early childhood, social work, parent education family studies, health, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills including knowledge of a word processing program and a spreadsheet program.
Salary – This is an Exempt position $ 57,096 – $71,379 Annually.
